Paulina P. Woods
Aspiring Broadcaster

Hello,
I'm Paulina Woods ...
... a recent graduate of Alabama State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Radio/TV). My passion for journalism and broadcasting came at an early age. I am honored to have been a part of Nickelodeon's Nick News segment and the Rosa Parks Movie, both shot in my hometown of Montgomery, Alabama.
I attended Booker T. Washington Magnet High where I participated in the Broadcast Media magnet that set the foundation for my career. I graduated from Jefferson Davis High in 2009 where I anchored and produced JDTV, a daily morning news show.
Throughout my college career, I have embraced several internships: WSFA 12 News, WVAS 90.7FM, and Alabama News Network CBS 8. I had the opportunity to work temporarily for WCOV Fox 20 as an administrative assistant, but I took full advantage of the experience by learning other aspects of the business such as sales and production. I even appeared in a few promotional advertisements. In between time, I served as a spokesperson for inMontgomery Media Group.
I love this field and am excited about pursuing my career because it is self-rewarding when you look back at your work. It is spontaneous ... you never know who you may meet, who you can help, or how your story may unravel and develop.
